Has anyone seen this - latest firmware. When I play back from the Inspire 1 via camera mode and pressing the playback icon, I get a corrupted image as follows:




Anyone else seen this?

Thanks Dundee  - but that's not what I was asking - I posted an image from my ipad but it doesn't come out on the PC version of the forum software (crap forum software!).

I've re-uploaded the image.

This ISN'T during playback on an edit PC - this is playback from the pilot app connected to the Inspire 1 - so it's playing back over lightbridge.

No, never seen anything like that.   

Questions:

1. Did you also see it LIVE or only playing back over lightbridge?

2. What does the file look like in the computer?   Clean or same issue?

Cool.  So not a camera issue then, just lightbridge.   Did it only happen in a single location or is it omnipresent?

mate, my thanks for this info. Along with a lot of other people, we have tried every possible avenue to recover the footage from my fly away.

Followed the instructions as per the link and it worked! You bloody ripper, can no see the final moments before the Inspire powered up to full noise and played chicken with a rather large gum tree!

Good work Dundee, keep it up.

Hi, DJI-Autumn,

Are you 100% sure it's a hardware issue? I've just done some more testing and it appears it only corrupts on 1080 50P footage playback. I currently have an SD card in the camera with a couple of days footage on it in 1080 25P, 4k 25P and a few 50P clips. Only the 50P clips corrupt on playback, the 1080 and 4K play fine. This is playback from the SD card over lightbridge by tapping the play button in the camera mode and browsing the card and playing.
In fact, when playing a 50P file and it corrupted, at one point, the right hand side of the image showed video from a different video entirely! And then playback locked up and I had to restart the Inspire 1 to get control back.

I'm wondering if the SD card could be an issue too? I'm using Sandisk Extreme 32GB class 10 U3 cards (60 MB/s). Probably unlikely but thought I'd mention it.

It very much looks like a software / firmware issue to me.

Can someone else try recording some 1080 50P in PAL mode and see if you have the same issues?

Is it a known issue then? I have also seen SD card initialising messages for a long time on the app. Once just now I had to turn the Inspire off and re-start to get it initialised.

Will this need to go back to China or EU service centre? I'm wondering whether just to get my dealer to replace it as it's still so new. Certainly can't wait 6+ weeks for this!

You can get your dealer to arrange the replacement but he also need to go back to EU service center.
