How much could a Phantom 4 pro lift ( as in weight). Could it lift a dozen eggs?

Hi thank  you for reaching DJI Forum, thank you for bringing this up. Unfortunately we don't suggest to put in added weight to the aircraft as it could lead to serious damage to the aircraft.

But, I mean, would it hurt the drone to lift something like a small book?

Although I agree that a dozen of eggs would be too heavy.....

The Phantom 4 is not as good as some type of ants which can carry up to 10 times of their own weight.
But it's much better than you and me because it can lift more than it's own weight.

So it's on you now to weigh 12 eggs and compare it to the phantom weight :-)
Check Youtube and you see quite some funny things...

You are likely to block the sensors and cause a crash, not a good idea.

Water balloons are heavy, and in many countries it is illegal to drop anything from a drone.

I would say it could lift a dozen eggs since a dozen large eggs weighs about 26 0z and the long distance guys like to put external 5200 mah batteries on each side of their AC which weigh about 13 oz each.  Be wary of the air flow though.  In other words, dangle them down from a string or something to get them out of the way of the prop wash and be sure they are centered.  Good luck.

But I guess the whole thing isn't a good idea. Although it would be nice to deliver eggs to customers by drone. LOL

And also: Does the extra resistance harm the drone motors?
