Hi,

In order to display flight map during Spark's flight one needs to have working data connection to Internet (e.g. via LTE).
However, if I am in the middle of nowhere with no cellular range, the map will not show on DJI GO when I fly unless I cache it first when I am still within cellular or Wifi range.

I know that apps for higher end drones do have capability of caching map. I also have heard people claiming that it is possible with DJI GO app with Spark.
However, I cannot find such option in my DJI GO.

How do you cache a map in DJI GO for Spark?

Hi Mirek,

Om the main page in the drop down menu you can select Offline maps and download some areas while you are in wifi range.

This works in 4.2.12 and 20 on Android, I cannot comment for other versions.

Ahhh - yes. I did not notice that.
I was looking for this in within general setting in Camera View.

The menu shown in the phantom link you provided does not exist in the Android version DJI GO app for Spark. Under General Settings there is no "Cash map in the Background" option. I use androi. Perhaps it does show in iOS - I don't know.

However, JumboHUN gave an option which does exist.

Right. Per the post I linked above:

"If that setting is not visible in DJI GO, then it's automatically enabled by default."
