Shure increase the wifi range arround 200M for Altitude and the distance around 40 to 100M
in the City

Next step would be to put some cooling in a remote and boost that power to 1.5W.

nice mod the antennas ate horizontally polarized (flat)  nothing wrong with that for that matter i prefer horizontally polarized antennas  because most man made noise and RF (radio frequency)  is vertically polarized. it will reduce any possible interference with that signal. just REMEMBER the antenna on your controller must be also horizontal  flat out. open them straight out and keep them horizontal. you will see a difference.
