After downloading the latest firmware on Saturday, my Mavic Air would only go about 1 MPH.  I tried everything that I could.  Fixed it when I got home.  Even though the app says you can't downgrade after this update, you CAN downgrade using the DJI Assistant 2 PC application.   Make sure you download the latest version of Assistant 2, or it won't recognize your Mavic Air.

At that point, I wasn't paying much attention to version numbers.  But I downgraded from the latest firmware to the one before it.

Well, you might be at 0.300 and went down to the version before that. You can't downgrade from 0.400.

Sorry, but it was 4-something.  I did downgrade and my MA works perfectly now.

Then you appear to be the only person on this entire forum who has been able downgrade from the latest 0400 FW on the MA. And as yet you have not explained how...

I explained exactly how.  I'll try again:

I don't know if it is significant, but I upgraded in the field on Saturday using the Go4 app.  It said you cannot downgrade after the update.   When I hooked up to the Assistant at home, it would not recognize the MA at first, but did after I downloaded the newest version of Assistant.  My latest software was labeled a BETA  (Don't know if that is significant.)  There were two downgrade options.  I selected the more recent of the two.  It worked, and my MA works great now.

So you have a beta version of assistant 2. That's why then. Not many have that so can not downgrade and it's not up for download - latest version of A2 is 11.2.4 released in May.

So as the latest version is no longer beta if you upgraded to the current version of .400 now you won't be able to downgrade like the rest of us.

Maybe. But I just upgraded to the troublesome firmware on Saturday. Downgraded later that evening.

Hmmmm, so let me get this...... Your "field upgrade" you made with Go 4  according to the just downloaded newest ver of  assistant 2 reported your latest  MA's FW (the one you made in the field)   as a  "beta" version (you called the troublesome version of  "4 something")? And you were able  to go backwards from this "beta 4 something" FW because your new assisant 2 give you several other lesser valued  FW versions to downgrade to?  
To what version of MA FW does assistant 2 report you're currently downgrade/running now plz?
And do you recall what version FW your MA had been running at the time of your "field upgrade" you made with Go 4?
And why/what made you decide to do this field upgrade with Go 4?

Yes, but on the Mavic Air when you tap the current FW version it does not list any other FW versions to downgrade.

That's right.  And I actually used that to refresh the newest firmware, but my Mavic Air performed no better after that.

Any chance that Firmware you downgrade from was a beta version of .04xx or .05xx?
Beta version of Firmware that undoes the downgrade block effected by .0400.

You should be able to go back into Assistant-2, look under Firmware menu and see what version of Firmware you were on prior to downgrading to .0300 on Mavic Air.
