Hey Guys and Girls..
I have had the problem with the Firmware update Fail issue , and i have tried everything , but i finally found the fix.
When you connect your Phantom 4 or Device to the app, at the start menu where you got the "ENTER DEVICE/FLIGHT" in the Buttom right corner and it says Firmware in the Upper left Corner.
You have in the Upper right Corner 3 lines, HOLD THOSE FOR 5 - 10 SECONDES and then let go , now you see a Black Screen where it says product : PHANTOM 4, Current Version XX.XX.XXXX
if you downloaded the Firmware it will say " install " , this works…. !!
I have now updated my DJI after 4 hours of pulling my hair….

I know this has been a huge issue on forums and youtube..

Many Drone Users don´t keeps getting the Firmware update fail…

Hi Eric..

Yeah i tried different things and updates, and software.. installing and uninstalling but same issue..

I tried to get the Maverick assist too but still the same..

Don´t know why i kept getting the update error…

But now it works..

Great you sorted it out!
You don't need Assistant 2 for updates. It gives a lot of people problems.

You can update from within the app:

I have always done my updates using assistant and never had any issues as of yet

Good you got your problem solved, but no news in that method, it has been one of the suggestions in most of the upgrade issue cases.

Good day averybody. I need some help. I have a phantome 4 like 2 years and have not flown it for at least 1.5 year due to upgrate problems. after my last upgrate I lost video and my camera is slightly looking upwart. I was thingking at that time that is a update problem. DJI Never help me and the only solution was to send it to california US bud that means for me a adicional cost of only sending it and exporting and importing it of a adicional 60% of what this bird has cost me.  is ther sombody who can help me to rest the phantom 4 and upgrade it as it has to be. My phantum has become a very expensif paper wait.
