So I had been wondering about how the experience points were calculated, and the other threads on the topic were inconclusive.

So I did a few test cases and think the Experience Points shown in the app are calculated as follows:

Experience Points as displayed in the app  =  2 * (flight time in seconds)  +  (distance in meters as displayed in the Personal Home page)

It is pretty close for the cases I have tried so far.
You would have to sync your flights to the cloud and then relogin to make sure the distance on the web page is up to date.



This is not in agreement with what one of the moderators stated at one point, however.


As to what the experience points are good for, well just some personal point of pride or something I guess ...

My DJI GO 4 says I have 239,945 Experience4 Points LV20 - Yet on DJI it says Im level 2 - Whats Up with that ?
Iv Synced up on DJUI Go - … Yet also Here it says my experience points are higher - still Levl 2

Level 2 is based on your your activities (post) HERE in the forum!
You have just 120 points = level 2

The Level 20 in the app is from USING DJI drones
You don't even need to sync the app for experience
With syncing the app, you just update your flight meters in the forum.
And your DJI Database in the cloud

Just synched mine. Of course, I don't look at what it said before.
