I just recently found my mavic battery charger after a year and charged both controller and battery last night. the battery kept flashing on the second from the top LED even after fully charged. now this afternoon i tried to connect the mavic to my phone to see if it needed updates it wont connect.this is a new phone so maybe thats the reason (yes, wifi and bluetooth are bot hon). the controller also shows "battery err" and the lights on the mavic flash red to match.

Hi jin ko82, we are sorry to hear that we have multiple issues on the aircraft. Have you tried to update the firmware? if the firmware is still not updated please update it first on both the aircraft and remote controller. If both are updated and we still have some issues, please send us the units for analysis by clicking on the link https://repair.dji.com/repair/index.

I see if you have a computer, you can update it using DJI Assistant 2. You can download it here https://www.dji.com/mavic/info#downloads. For updating the firmware via DJI Assistant 2 please see the youtube video:

i have updated the software and it now seems fine. will reply here if anything else pops up

just tried to fly it today and the same error shows up. on the app it says its a broken cell but when i go into the battery info the three cells show green. one cell is slightly higher than the other two though (maybe .3-5)

anyone able to help?

unfortunately seems like have a bad battery after a year of it just lying around, possibly glitched out and didn't go into storage mode....  

im sure these batteries are also not designed for long term storage, chemically designed differently for reliable high current usage and rapid repeat usage..
