Imense history - shiver down the spine knowing that I was stood on the spot where Elizabeth I was advised she had become the Queen of England, Ireland and (technically) France on 7 September 1533... And I bet it looks the same there today as it did then - totally untouched except for some new trees that are only a couple of hundred years old

I get that impression mate - would of been better not to announce anything at all only to pull it - it's like carrot dangling customers. That's a big no-no. Still, I would rather that than a £1.5-2K drone falling from the sky...

Nice pictures.  Most of us North Americans* lack the depth of history that you enjoy in Britain.  I can totally appreciate the rush one would get from standing in that same spot.  Elizabeth 1 was one awesome lady.

For sure, if you messed with her or her father you simply lost your head back in those days... It's strange how monarchy is still around and I believe she is also your Queen too and is doing good work to protect your forests over there in Canada. Thank you for the compliments and whilst our history is very deep you have a huge and stunning country! EDIT: not sure who downvoted your reply but it's a shame they don't have the backbone to show their face - the pleasure will be all mine if they do...
