Very nice indeed.
Makes me laugh when occasionally there is a post asking "Why are we limited to 400ft AGL ?"  When there you are presenting a beautiful piece of video,  a lot of which was filmed at less than 50ft.

haha indeed mate !! , i like the mini to use it ,  as I usually call it:  for short distances

Aloha Frank,

Good to see you out and about again!  Unfortunately, I may be disrespectful of my Mavic Mini.  That little nipper has done everything I asked and I keep crashing it on the way home - usually close by.  I am just glad that Mini is so durable.

In my defense, my Mini is so small, my depth perception gets thrown off.  Twice now I have flown into trees that were not supposed to be there because my depth perception was off.  I must be getting old!

     Take care and be safe!

Aloha and Drone On!

Aloha Frank,

Oddly enough, my depth perception is only with the Mini.  The Phantoms and Mavic Air do not seem to have the same effect.

BTW, did you see my comments on the compass sensitivity?  I was wondering why my Mavics would go nuts at odd points in the flights and I would have to come home quickly.  Turns out I was setting off my compass by putting the Mavics down where metal was close enough to set off the compass.  The Phantoms long legs avoided that problem.

     Take care and stay safe!

Aloha and Drone On!

Yes I saw my Friend !! As for the perception of the device in the distance, the same thing happens to me with the mavic mini, it is normal to lose it quickly from sight given its size , Stay safe Dear

I only found out about Red Hot Poker, Chas, as I knew him in the last couple of days, we met on the forum over 3 years ago and had been in constant PM & email contact since sharing experiences, stories & laughs, I had been aware of his illness for some time so when I had not heard from him I suspected the worst, He had a great sense of humour and posted interesting information constantly. I kept in contact with him on my trips to the Kimberley region 2018 & 2019, sending him lots of photos & messages, I will miss him terribly

Rest In Peace now my friend

Aloha Frank,

Is that a Commercial Drivers License and motorcycle training area?  Maybe the license testing area?  I used to teach Commercial Drivers for their license (CDL).

BTW, Chas had a Bombardier SpYder that he loved.  Well, he spoke lovingly about it anyway.

     Take care and be safe!

Yes, Chas loved his SpYder, he told me about a winter ride where he got stuck going up a freeway off ramp and ended up back in the middle of the freeway with a policeman standing over him, he explained his situation and the cop escorted him back home, living here I can't imagine what it would be like riding a bike in the snow and ice brrrrr too cold for me

This post has become one of the highlights of this forum for me.
I enjoyed RHP posts. Usually very informative. He always brought new and interesting things.
His humor was quite enjoyable and the pics he posted had a wide variety.
Thank you all for keeping this post alive in his memory.

Totally agree with everything you say, not everyone got, or liked his sense of humour, when I first joined the forum he stood out as someone who had a positive outlook on life that's why we became friends.

There are a couple of power PG's around here.   But we don't see much of them and we live relatively close to Bunburys' (very small) airport.    I was always more interested in Gyro-copters and have flown a few hours in them - back when I still held a pilots licence.  I wouldn't get through the medical now-a-days ! So that's all gone by the board so to speak.
Gyro-copters are still seen as a Development/Experimental class aircraft - at least last time I checked they were.  They have copped a lot of bad publicity over the years.  We lost a friend in an accident - I believe it was pilot error,  but not in the air,  it was what he did on the ground maintenance wise that caught up with him.

It's amazing a lot of us are still here like nothing changed in the world.  We are talking like it was pre-corona.  We have yet to see the results of such a pandemic.

So we can assume people are granted extremely great mathematics when they die as long as they just do the limitations of what they have on Earth at their generation = alignment of the God will path?  If people go against their own set procedures, they are given extremely bad mathematics in the next life?  Is this how this works or everything based upon sheer luck of selection and some are meant to be screwed for sheer entertainment and the rest of the lucky ones, for pride?
