I need some help here. I only had my mavic pro for less than a week. I saved up, sold my spark and now I'm left with just a controller. Has this ever happened to anyone? Flight was going normal, no battery fail warnings. My dji app just went black and on the upper left side said aircraft disconnected.  It never came back up. All I could do is listen in horror as the RC was letting me know the battery time left. Stronger beeping until what sounded like a redline until I shut it off. I went to the location where "find my drone" led me, but after hours of searching. Nothing. Please help.

Your MP may drop on the way RTH. The app only recorded the last know position of drone before disconnected. The battery may not have enough power to bring MP back and landed on the way during  RTH. Try search along the RTH path.

Your home point seems different to take off point, have you checked where it shows H.
