I added DJI landing gear to my AC which is working great and protecting the gimble and battery underside.

I however needed to remove to landing gear everytime I store it.

This is what i did so I can still pack it back in the orginal sterofoam box with-out the need to remove the landing gear every time.
I modified the box and it is working great for me.

See attached photos.

One can call it "essentially destroyed" however it worked for me.
If it was not for the landing gear already fitted I would have missed the last glimpse of a fading rainbow and not able to take off from wet grass.
It assisted me to faster deploy the AC.
Will invest in proper case for AC and all its accessories in the future.

Accidentally drop it. It lands on a protruding landing gear through the hole.  Stresses passed through to motor arm.  Motor arm broken. Voila.

Your solution is not working with the fly more shoulder bags.
I have this extensions, but used them just once.
I started to start from hand or something else.
Landing is anyway in the hand

Thank you for sharing your experience.
This is what I have just done to protect the arms.
Now I can also put the box on the ground without getting it dirty.

I am still trying to find a gear system that still allows a battery guard to keep it from popping off in flight.  Has anyone seen a system that allows both???

I like it! I've never thought about modifying the box. For some reason, it's just never occurred to me. I think I'll extend the slots that hold the spare props. I've finally got a battery clip, and I've got nowhere to store it, so it's just rattling around at the bottom of my bag at the moment.

Back to the ordinal tread:

The final product. Still fit 100% in the original DJI Spark box.
Material and tools used:
Wooden Drill, heat source, bottle caps (my wife collect it for kids to play with) and some quick set epoxy glue,
