Hello everyone.

I am a newbie with about 2 hrs 35 minutes flight time on my p4pv2 and just got the "ultrasonic sensor warning" land immediately.

Possible causes and solutions?

Hi. I am sorry that you are having this issue on your DJI Phantom 4 Pro. Are you flying your Drone on an open environment and at a high altitude when this error message appeared?

also after just checking pictures from the flight it jumped from iso 100 to iso 12800. so something stability wise happened even though drone looked to be flying fine. it was not windy out. should I try different set of propellers? these are not broken but a touch scratched after touching some leafs

I was near a covered bridge that has trees on each side of river but wasn't near the trees and only went up to around 150 ft.  16 minute flight

Thank you for that information. Can you try to use the firmware v10.4.0602 on your DJI Phantom 4 Pro? Let us know if the issue will be solved after this process.

if that is the one that came out like last week then I think I am using it.

That was a false message starting to come up in April. Some software flaw. Nothing to worry about.
It went away with some Go4 update. If you are on the latest version it is strange that it's still there.

Thanks Eric. I updated the firmware right when I got the drone. The new one had just come out.

I just flew it for ten minutes and it was fine. The camera also didn't jump up the iso like before. I will take it for a longer flight in awhile.

I have taken it for two flights since the issue and it has not re-appeared. The camera also has not jumped way up in iso either. So maybe just an odd blip?  fingers crossed.

The 10 version Stephen mention in #5 does not exist yet, 1.4.602 was released in the start of June last year.
The Ultrasonic errors seem to be reported after the 1.5.600 release pr 2018.03.08. Just the other day a beta v.1.6.100 was mentioned by DJI Susan.

Ultrasonic sensor error update: I have flown several times and had no error till today when I went to a second battery. I got the error and landed. Restarted everything and flew again and the error came back. I think this battery was in it first time it happened. Is it possible that it is the battery? That somehow the battery didn't get upgraded during the firmware update? I thought when you plugged in second battery it updated.

Thoughts?

Any ideas for this?

Look on this answer from Susan, as you can see in my post below it, it match my situation very well, perhaps you can relate your situation to this?

What i don't like is that it apparently is not possible to turn off the ultrasonic sensors as they would disturb a lot of animals from far away.

If you look at #55 of the thread i linked to, you can turn in for a beta 1.6.100 that should solve it.
I can't really tell if it work or not as i just got a replacement that had a lot of other issues on previous versions but it don't look like anything got worse with the beta version.

If you have a Gimbel guard remove it. It blocks ultrasonic signals

I realize this is a few months old, but I returned my P4P+ V1 for this error. They used a refresh, and indicated there was damage to a cable and the camera board. My aircraft was pristine, and carefully flown with no apparent damage. I think it was a manufacturing defect, but I didn't argue with them. It cost me $100 to get a referb. The camera always faces full down before it's powered up. But it flies perfectly with no Ultrasonic errors.
