Hello everyone, everything good?

I am very disappointed with DJI, I currently have a Phantom4Pro Plus and unfortunately I have serious problems with my gimbal, I already referred to a technical assistance AUTHORIZED DJI in Brazil, and neither they nor I con continue to solve, can you help me?

I have the drone and the radio fully updated! I've never had falls or bumps...

My gimbal has the following symptoms ...
That problem of vibrating when it is +/- 45 degrees of inclination down ... with it stopped does not seem to affect the image ... but when it is in flight we can see the vibration ...

I do not know if it is normal, but I call the drone, after it initializes the gimbal is centralized correctly, as it is getting satellites the guimbal begins to bend the pan, and when it finally records the home point the guimbal is usually pointed to the right of the drone

After recording the home point I always have to recalibrate the guimbal to stay centralized, I often have to do the adjustment of yaw manually .... I take off and in a matter of seconds the drone returns to bend the pan..always I have to fly adjusting the directions in the control ... it is impossible to get the stick forward and the image looks "straight" ... for open takes does not bother me, but when I have to follow something, I suffer a lot.

Have you spoken with dronesbrasil they seem to have a good knowledge about DJI. I bought my P4P there and they have helped me good. They are based in SP but can help you by WhatsApp as well. If you havent done yet try them.

Good luck

BTW are you using the latest firmware and have you done a good compass calibration?

Hi Ray, thanks for the help!

I'll try to contact them, but I already took them to the only assistance recommended by DJI in Brazil!

Yes, whenever I make any updates I wait for the drone to "cool" and make the IMU, COMPASS (radio and drone) and gimbal calibrations.

I have tried to redo all of them, including reversing the order, and the camera is centralized with the drone, but when it starts to fly it soon points slightly to one side.

And you not in FPV mode with the camera right? I assume that you are pretty familiar with the P4P as I saw your flying distance but just to be sure ;)

Did you try a gimbal calibration?
I mean the calibration from within the app, not correction of gimbal angle through the dial.

Does the gimbal make a noise while vibrating at this inclination?
Move it up/down while the drone is sitting on your desk.

If you hear something like a 'grinding' noise then you have a known issue.
Lots of YT videos about the 'grinding gimbal'.
It sometimes comes along with a 'gimbal obstructed' message, often triggered by the ribbon cable interfering with the camera housing.

Hello ray

Yes, you are quite familiar and I am also not in fpv mode ...
My problem is not of the inclination of the horizon ... my problem is in keeping the pan / yaw centralized ... let the haha begin to arise possible solutions !!!
Everyone here is very attentive !!!

Hi, eric, how are you?

Thanks for helping...
Yes, I tried several times to calibrate the gimbal in the app, always right, the camera is perfectly aligned, but when you trigger the motors (movement of the sticks) it naturally points gently to the side and keeps with the pan / yaw slightly to the side...

I even did the calibration with the drone "seated" on the rear engines as recommended in this link:

Do you remember anything else I could try?

Hmmm unfortunately im not a specialist so that was all the help I could give. I hope you will solve this issue soon as last days were great to make some flights here in SP at least

good luck

Hi, eric, how are you?

Thanks for helping...

I'm not sure if this is the same problem, but I've been having problems with the DJI GO 4 App in my P4P-Plus. It is because of the Gimbal Yaw Synchronous Follow feature. It turns the camera slightly in the direction of any Yaw input by about 2 degrees.  But it does this with the slightest Yaw, even one that shows no movement of the Drone, but the Camera yaws left and right more than the actual pan or yaw.

I've tried to turn this feature off, but as of today July 13, 2018, the APP turns the feature back to "ON" every time I turn it "OFF".  I can't disable it in the current and latest version of the APP.

I do not believe ... I had downgraded firmware to resolve ...
After reading your message, I updated to the latest firmware again and turned off the sync pan ... DEU CERTO !!! The camera is no longer out of the center, it is perfectly aligned !!!
Today 15 July 2018 it was completely possible to connect and disconnect the feature by the app.

Thank you very much for all our colleagues here!
