Question ... Can you use gestures while you connected to DJI Go app ??

Yes - you have to put in Gesture mode - or you can start it in gesture mode and change it out later.

I'm in the habit of staring into the camera and double clicking the power to launch, changing modes, then when it comes to landing I put it back in gesture mode, fly it up in front of me and reach my hand out under it. It settles right down and shuts down the props.

Why not have the app up from the get go and still do a palm launch.  Just remember to go back to Normal Mode or you won't have video with the video button.
