Can someone tell me how to connect my D850 to the Ronin-S?  The compatibility guide say use the MCC-B cable.  That's a micro-USB cable.  The D850 has no Micro-USB ports on it, only USB3.

So how did DJI test this???

I got the Ronin-S today and can't use it!

OK, I'm stupid.  Seems you can use half of the USB3 port for micro USB. Thank you DJI for the assistance.

The Multi-Camera Control Cable (Type-B) is compatible with specific cameras such as the Nikon D850.

The correct cable should be MCC-B, hope you have a great experience with Ronin-S.

I received my Ronin S today and I immediately did some tests with the Nikon D850.
Everything seems to work perfectly, I tried with Nikon 14-24 f2.8 and 24-70 f2.8 lenses and both are perfectly balanced. The focus works perfectly.

Cannot stop it, push rec or take a picture? Does anyone have similar problems or any answers what is going on? Both the camera and Ronin with newest firmware..  

I've had some success connecting the Ronin-S to the D850 but the record button does nothing but take a still photo.  I cannot get it to record.  Any ideas. (Latest firmwares have been installed).

Swap you're LV Video/Photo switch Photo. Took me a bit to sort that out too. Especially since Nikon doesn't really support a whole lot when you plug it in to something and I'm guessing even less when you can only use the micro USB part of the USB3 connection.
I've used other apps that can adjust settings in camera and focus but Ronin-S doesn't support that (yet-hopefully). I hope they roll out a software upgrade that can talk to Nikon a little better.

Once your 850 is plugged into Ronin-S you can't control any of the camera settings via the camera except the LV Photo/Video switch (Which is important and tells Ronin-S what to do with the record button on its handle)

I also had issues with Ronin-S talking to my D850 in general. Sometimes the connection worked fine, sometimes I lost some functions and other times nothing happened at all.

Unless I'm shooting a tracking video or a motion lapse, I'm just going to use the in camera menus and buttons on the camera and unplug it from Ronin-S completely. Much simpler that way. Also you can use live view and have full access to camera functionality if unplugged from Ronin-S.

It's not fully supported. There's a PDF of feature compatibility between Ronin-S and different cameras. The D850 is not fully compatible.
You can't use LV when connected to Ronin-S
I haven't been able to modify any setting via the Ronin app
Aaaaand you cannot control D850 focus with Ronin-S'  focus nob with the D850 - which would be useless anyway since you can't use LV anyway.

I think these are all Nikon software limitations though.

Problème résolu. Mais à quoi servent les connections doubles sur l'avant du ronin s. Et où trouver les cables. Merci

bonjour, les connecteurs servent à alimenter des futurs accessoires pour le ronin S. via la batterie de la poignée.

a tu testé le follow focus du ronin S avec ton D850? ça marche? c'est smooth?

merci de ton retour, chez moi ça fait un semblant d'autofocus, c'est pas terrible.

I was having issue with connecting the remote cable from the Ronin-S to my cameras. Both the Lumix G-9 and the D850 have the same usb port. Its a micro-B port. Not any of the Multi-Camera Control Cables came with such ends. Or so it seemed. As it turns out the USB-B takes a mini USB by using...wait for it...only half of it, as pictured below. The Ronin-S did come with a mini USB adapter, so problem solved because of your post here..THANKS!

Having the same focus issue. I have a Nikon D850 with an approved lens (AF-S NIKKOR 16-35mm f/4G ED VR). Both firmware is up to date. Cable attached. Greenlight on the wheel. Lens set to M/A. Focus on the camera is set to AF. Everything else is working on the gimbal. Any other suggestions?

I bought a Ronin S with a focus wheel.
But if I connect it to my Nikon D850 in live view modus with the focus wheel cable, my SmallHD Focus 7 (with HDMI connection) don't show the display as on the Nikon. If I disconnect the focus cable the display's are the same.
