I had been using DJI Pilot App from Android Play Store, until I saw a new App for download from dji.com. Now that I am using the newer app on my Phantom 3 Advanced, I have a few  issues :


1. Video Blanks out for 1 to 1.5 seconds randomly
2. Click the photo button on the remote does make a shutter sound, but no pictures are taken.
3. Flight Log no longer updated. With the previous app, flight log would get updated after each flight.
4. Phone gets really hot after 15 minutes of flight.


On a positive note on the new app :
1. Video feedback to phone from Phantom 2 Advanced Camera works
2. Video is cached on the phone


If you have faced this issue or know the solution, please help.

1. What Android device are you using ?

2. Is your Phantom 3 and Remote Control both up to date with the latest firmware?

1. Android - Galaxy S5 - Android 5.0
2. Yes, remote and the phantom 3 were both up to date WRT firmware out of the box.
3. DJI Pilot version - 1.1.0

I know some customers had this kind of problem with old version firmware.. Can you check your firmware version at "About" page in app, make sure its the latest version? I'll go check with others.

The Firmware on the Gimbal was 1.1.8 and now I am upgrading it to the latest version 1.1.9 that was released today.

The App version of DJI Pilot is 1.1.0 as downloaded from DJI Website.
