When I started up the MP, I found out the battery was only 60%, so I did not have a lot of time.
Because I wanted to go to 2 other locations, I decided to take it for a short run anyway.

Nope.
Horizontally.
So whenever you crash, there is enough clearance
I think that is actually a decent rule. It also prevents most privacy claims, since the MP won't show much detail from that distance.

The vertical 50m rule here is permitted by I never fly over peoples homes out of respect at any altitude - except my own or my families properties of course

Yes, there is some debate going on about your own property.
Since my house is in the middle of other houses I can't fly there (just did once to try the MP, but stayed <2m in my garden)

Yes, here we need at least 101 m (although they probably won't get you when you keep 40m I guess)

What they can't hear/notice won't be a problem - just fly away asap when you reach a certain altitude - the MP is a fairly quiet drone.

Although I must say I can hear it at 120m even.
Depending on wind conditions of course.

And the MA is suppose to have similar ESC's to the Mavic Platinum - may be they'll introduce low noise props soon
