I don't know if any of you have had this problem but the maximum video resolution I can choose for the Osmo Mobile 2 in the android app is 1080p. Yet my phone is capable of recording in 4k, so why is the app limited to only 1080p? It's a shame that I can't use it with the app!

There are some applications that by default limits the video resolution. In such cases, we can't help it. Even on a mobile phone also, the apps limits the video resolution and that specific problem you are now facing. I think you should suggest with https://mailhelp.net/hotmail-support/ if it solves it out.

Anyone?

If you don't have an iPhone you're pretty much screwed.

DJI doesn't seem to care about Android users.

I have an LG G6 which can record at 4k yet the maximum in the DJI Go app is 1080p @ 30fps.....

Active track, time-lapse....?  Irrelevant for me as I'm not bothering with 1080p/30fps....

30 FPS !!!!

Hello there. We apologize for the inconvenience. May I know what model of the mobile device are you using?

I'm using the Galaxy S6, which is supposed to be fully compatible. But what does it even mean? Because apparently it does not mean I will be able to use the phone to it's full potential...

Thank you for the response. I understand that your mobile device is compatible with Osmo mobile 2. However, it still depends on the mobile device's capability to accommodate those desired resolutions. You might want to try to reinstall the application.

Depending on the phone manufacturer they may not allow the full range of resolutions and framerates. I have a Note 8 and Samsung doesn't allow  1080p 60fps, only 30fps.

Who doesn't allow? If the phone can do it, it should be available in the app.

Hi, sorry for the troubles that it caused, I'm afraid that our app is not yet optimized with some devices that have a capability of recording 4k resolution even the mobile device itself can produce 4k. I would suggest using a stock camera for the mean-time for you to get 4K resolution, rest assured that we will keep improving our apps to provide better service.

Hi, I'm afraid that the only way to use active track is using our DJI GO app, however, it seems like our app is not yet optimized with your phone which will allow you to record 4K resolution.

Yeah, it's a shame that I have to choose one when I need them both...

When can 4K 60 fps support for iOS be expected? This was the main reason I chose the 8 plus and the gimbal, and now it is not working??

All the excuses are BS.  Programmers are just lazy or incapable of getting it done.  I just got the OSMO mobile 3 and  at least the app supports 4k, but 30fps?  really?  Thanks for making it almost useless for what I bought it for.  I have to use the native camera app because DJI can't be bothered.  If they spent half as much time posting useless responses as to why it's not their fault and focused on just programming their app properly things would be better.  Dear DJI, don't bother responding to this unless you have a way to give me 60fps, I have zero faith in anything you say here.

my phone default camera app records in 4k60 but the max quality in the app is 1080p30, it's certainly not a bitrate issue because my phone records in 80mbps default
