I purchased a P3 used and it has stress cracks on two of the arms. I have been reading the threads and have decided to pick up some MEK and reinforcement plates.

I have seen there are two different kind of plates, plastic and aluminum. Is either one better than the other? Seems to me the plastic would be lighter than the aluminum.

Hi. Thank you for the information you have provided. In reinforcing your DJI Phantom 3 with a plastic or an aluminum plate, these plates can affect the performance of the Drone because it will add an additional weight on the Drone. I would suggest since to of the Drone's arms has cracks is to contact DJI Support for additional help.
