Since dji have not released a monitor mount for the ronin-m. What kind of mount for accesories are you recommending to use with the Dji Ronin-M? I´m still trying to find one, and mine will arrive in the post today.

well DJI has a different perspective of the 'soon'word...we still trying to find ppl/friends/passengers who own ios devices to get ronin-m to work....

its cheaper than originals DJI and small enough...u can find cheaper if you look for 'bicycle clamp mounts'

Thanks, i think ill go with the other mount, the shipping to norway was 50 euros for this mount. I got some thin hdmi cables from pearstone that works fine.

I just bought an Impact clamp much like the one above, with a Pearstone strongarm. It holds the SmallHD 502 really nicely. I have an issue with powering the SmallHD 502, however. I am currently using an LP-E6 to D-Tap coiled power cable, the one here:

It plugs into the D-Tap on the bottom of the Ronin-M camera mount, and as a result, pulls on the gimbal itself. This makes the motion way less smooth, and really works the motors a lot harder. Anyone have any thoughts? I think the easy fix is to charge the 502 with LP-E6 batteries, but I don't own any and don't necessarily want to buy any if I don't have to.

I would get some lp-e6 batteries, if you get the off brand they are pretty cheap. I got some wasabi power np-fw50 for my a7s and they work like fine. i guess that their LP-E6 batterie would work just Ok and you could get more than two of them. I got 5 LP-E6 for my Ikan vk7i monitor and they last about an hour each.

But I just have to tell you that i envy you on the 502, must be a great monitor. But my next purchase will probably be the litepanel caliber light kit or the shogun.

Another downside of using the D-tap on the ronin is that it does not last as long, since you use the ronin battery, to power the monitor. I got a D-tap for my monitor and i will try it, but it will never be my main power source. So it´s probably good to have the D-tap connection with you incase you run out of batteries, but I would not depend on it as a main power supply for the monitor.

Is the top rod of the ronin-m a standard 15 mm rod?

I know it works just fine if you use the cinemilled handlebar shim, but I did not want to spend 200 usd on a monitor mount.

I bought a ePhoto tripod clamp for $11, works great.

I have ordered the Manfrotto Nano Clamp 386BC, supposed to work fine. cost a bit more but can hold 4 kg.

These two options will work since the rod is 25mm. One with a ball head for 75 and one without for 50. I personally think the ball head version would be more useful so you can angle your monitor exactly where you want/need it.

Question for you. Do you have issues with interference and with the connection?  I have a similar set up but when i turn on the ronin it kills the dslr controller app. Not sure why!
