I would get some lp-e6 batteries, if you get the off brand they are pretty cheap. I got some wasabi power np-fw50 for my a7s and they work like fine. i guess that their LP-E6 batterie would work just Ok and you could get more than two of them. I got 5 LP-E6 for my Ikan vk7i monitor and they last about an hour each.
But I just have to tell you that i envy you on the 502, must be a great monitor. But my next purchase will probably be the litepanel caliber light kit or the shogun.
Another downside of using the D-tap on the ronin is that it does not last as long, since you use the ronin battery, to power the monitor. I got a D-tap for my monitor and i will try it, but it will never be my main power source. So it´s probably good to have the D-tap connection with you incase you run out of batteries, but I would not depend on it as a main power supply for the monitor. |
