With the Mavic Air above a chemical plant.

Through a friend who still works there (I also worked there for 30 years in the ICT) with permits to arrange to be able to take pictures with the MA.
First I had my doubts whether it would work with all that metal and various radio and wifi signals.
But I thought let's try it, there was hardly any wind and 19 sats connection.

The only thing that bothered me greatly were gulls that wanted to attack the MA.

I was lucky to be able to ascend and land from the restricted area.

The next challenge is to fly and film during a shutdown in the factory, this question has already been asked.

Good job, followed correct procedures, given permission it’s refreshing to see this all’s well and ends well, you have good shots, well done.

Thanks, they even informed the neighboring companies about the drone flight.

Very nice picture!
These buildings make for a superb subject.

Just one little notice : the air above a property is not controlled by it's owner.
You are not allowed to fly within a 'safe margin' (50m is adviced) of buildings etc.
There are ways to get around this,  but that requires full ROC licence, extra staff, flight plans etc. etc.

You probably won't get into troubles, since they did not catch you, but in the event of a fly away / crash etc. with damage,  you are not covered by your standard liability insurance.

Too bad, I would love to be able to legally take these pictures (without the full ROC path....)

Okay, I did not know that.
I thought I am on the premises of the factory with all permits, it will be fine.

Do you have a link to it?

Thanks anyway.

Yes, I see the confusion.

Just check this sheet:

https://www.rijksoverheid.nl/bin ... hobby-sept-2016.pdf

If you fly recreational you are not allowed to fly over buildings, industrial area's etc. etc.
Only if you get full ROC there is a possibility to get a permit ('vergunning') from the government, but you need to have many more things (second operator, full liability insurance.
