Thanks all. Like to think I have come a long way in my flying and editing skills. Here's a video I shot with P3P (my first drone) back in 2015 from the same area.
Terrible right? That was before I knew how to make a decent turn and edit two clips together. Now on to FCPX, buying inexpensive LUTs, transitions and sound effects it's fun learning how to put good videos together. Keep on learning!

Impressive video.
It had great color and was very sharp.
What editor did you use to add the pointing identifiers? Makes the video more interesting when you get to know what is being filmed.

Super easy to use and offer a lot of customization. A little pricey though so best to email them and ask for a discount (they'll give 10%) or wait for a sale/promotion (15%-20%).

The true shipping port that you can see the cranes of in the distance behind the Queen Mary does have several restrictions and requirements to fly drones over (http://www.polb.com/economics/uas/default.asp). The touristy harbor where I was flying does not have any specific restrictions that I could find however it is on the inside edge of the 5 mile radius from Long Beach airport (http://www.lgb.org/information/unmanned_aircraft_systems.asp). Class D airspace.
