Is there a way to stop the controller from charging my iPad when flying? This tends to drain the controller battery faster than I drain the Mavic's batteries while flying. By the time I use three batteries in the Mavic, my controller is around 45%

Only heard of this happening a few times with IOS. Its the norm with Android. I take it you are using Ipad mini ? Only thing I heard is people using the side (charging ) port had this problem a few times with IOS and changing to the USB port on the bottom of the controller stopped this. I use both an Ipad mini 4 and 2018 Ipad using either side or bottom port to connect tablet to controller and it works good...Maybe Im one of the lucky ones !!

I'm using an iPad mini connected to the USB port on the center bottom of the remote. I had another Mavic Pro last year and it never charged the iPad. This one does. I also saw on YouTube that I could Velcro a power bank underneath my iPad that would charge the remote as I used it. I may end up going that route.

The FW I have is what came with my Mavic which is  v01.04.0400. I have found if I turn on my iPad first it seems to not be charged by the transmitter, or if it is doing it, it does it very slightly.

Am still using .700.

Has been working fine for ever. I can fly almost 6 batteries with a fully charged controller.

.700 is not avail on the updater.  Mine was on that when I bought it. Flew perfect for any device used.

I know! they took it off because it was the last version where they don't force you to login and track all of your movements and it is by far the best FW...
