I have just had my Mavic air for a few weeks, but one of the first things I did with it was to take some 180 pano's of the neighborhood hilside where I live.

I was hugely dissapointed to see what a poor job it did with the onboard software.  There was a lot of misplaced out of alignment overlay - even in very high contrast building structures.

The second time I repeated the shot but saved the individual shots.  The onboard 180 pano was still awful, but lightroom had no problem stiching together the 21 raws to produce a great image.

Is this just a problem with my Mavic Air (latest software), or is the onboard stiching really this bad for most everyone?

Can anything be done about it?

I have had 4 drones that shoot panos. Spark, Mavic Pro, P4P and Mavic Air.
I stopped messing with DJI's software early on as it is lousy.
It didn't work well on any of them.
I use MS Ice. Free download and it works awesome.

BTW - Pano's of the same subjects with the M2P are much better
