A few days I turned the controller and aircraft on and nothing would connect. Used to work fine and didn't do any updates from the previous use. Now I've been spending most of the day to figure this out and have no idea. Controller says V01.00.01.00(06.14) latest update connected to wifi and aircraft says V01.00.1500 latest update via the Mac OS DJI Assistant 2.
Controller shows the solid red LED
Aircraft shows a solid red/orange LED on the relink button

On the bottom of the Remote Controller Settings page it has a "Remote Controller Linking" button. I hit that then a pop-up of "Confirm frequency settings" with cancel or ok options. Either do not do anything and when I hold the relink button on the aircraft.

What do I need to do to link the controller with the aircraft?

Hi. I'm very sorry for the inconvenienced that this caused you. Can you please try to re-link your AC and RC using the manual steps? For reference, please see the attached video tutorial below.

In that menu I do not have "Linking Remote Controller" I have "Remote Controller Linking" and when I click that it shows this menu and cancel or ok do nothing. Red LED on the controller doesn't change.

I find that if I power up the AC and wait too long to power up the RC, it won't link. Powering up the AC, then followed within about 10 seconds by powering up the RC works reliably for me.

Here is how you fix it.

#1 rotate your remote control sticks.
#2 that message will come up.
#3 on back of your remote control hit 2 white buttons
#4 remote control linked and fixed.

Here is how you fix it.

#1 rotate your remote control sticks.

By rotate you mean just move the two joysticks around? Before hitting "Remote Control Linking" or after? I didn't notice anything different either way.

When I pressed C1 and C2 at the same time with the Confirm Freq Settings pop up nothing happens but when I press only one of the it goes away but nothing happens.

The correct start up order is RC first, then AC.
Press and hold C1 + C2 + Record (with red dot) until RC begin beeping, then press the led just above the gimbal for a few seconds until you hear it beep too, then let go.

Did you do any of the upgrades, if so have you made sure both the aircraft and controller has been updated?

If everything fails, notice the message at around 1:15 in the video above.

You follow tutorial on how to link your P4P V2 to remote control.

It tells you to go to app and perform remote control linking procedure.

Rotating joystics after hitting button is what they are asking you to do. After you do that a few times, you will see that portion A of the calibration finished and portion B asks you to press C1 and C2. Do not press them at the same time, just press them on and off a few times and that should conclude remote control linking procedure.

Here's a video of me trying to sync the controller. The C1 C2 Rec button combo makes a beeping noise but not sure if that's right.

Can anybody tell me if what I did is incorrect?

Did you find a solution to this?  I have P4p v2 that will not connect to RC.  Have tried linking procedure to get the blue linking lights and sounds from controller but no response from the AC when pushing the link button.

I have also tried factory reset to default through assistant 2.

I have also tried refreshing firmware and doesn’t work for permanently.

This I  found is a work around though, connect AC to assistant 2 click the phantom 4 icon.  And refresh the firemware which it says it is current version V01.00.2200 2018-10-24. This will let it connect after a power cycle and will for next few minutes.  However if I pack up and go to field by the time I’m in field and power up again it won’t connect.

Any idea what is causing this?

I sent it to DJI and they replaced some control boards. Took a couple weeks total and didn't charge me.

Thank you for responding. I dread it but looks like I will have to call DJI support.

I have the exact same problem.  I guess I’m going to have to bite the bullet and call DJI.

Does anyone know if there is a store in the NYC or NJ area that can just fix this issue there?

Old thread but I ran into the same problem with my P4 v2.0 Plus. The prompt on the screen that says "confirm frequency settings?" is asking you to push the link button on the aircraft.
I tried everything for several hours before figuring that out.
I repeated this several times to verify by disconnecting and connecting again.

Do you have a controller without a micro sd slot?  I too have had issues with linking and want to resolve it for reliabilty in the field.  The problem has been resolved by connecting the controller to the desktop and redoing the last firmware update to both ac and controller.  I just think it will reappear and a board replacement is a true fix.

Thanks for posting your results.
