I lost contact with my spark, it showed it’s final location on find my drone.
I went to exact location and did an exhaustive search with no luck.
It was on a heavily treed area and my last known coordinates were 124m above ground.
What is the chances it will be close to these coordinates?
What does drone do when it looses contact with controller?

I am a newbie, any help would be appreciated.

if you had it set it should return home at 30 meters ..so should have avoided trees, and in theory be back at homepoint

Hi. Please sync the flight records of your DJI Spark using your DJI Go 4 application for further assessment on what happened to your Drone.

Hei,

I had it twice, and the first time i had a little trouble working with the "find my drone" solution. But both times, my drone was exactly on the location indicated in the "find my drone" utility. So its there. But might be in a tree. Can be useful to ask maybe a friend with a drone to help and look from above.  2nd time i had to use "find my drone" it also was in a tree 16 meter above the ground.. took some time to find it. But i did. It was more trouble getting it down though... Good luck!

it shows a new ending location but still at a very high altitude...not sure if it would just land straight down?

Something similar happened to me. I searched the wrong area for almost two days. It's probably somewhere near where the red line ends in the log analysis that you posted. I would start there and continue in the same general direction that the red line was leading. Several people searching in a grid would help. When Mirek6 gets here, he can probably tell you right where it is. Which may be in a tree  :-(

Sorry for your loss man. I lost my first spark a month and a half ago in woods in Russia. I took it up 250mts at night without knowing about the wind, so the wind took it forever away and we could not find it anymore((
Here i bet your drone drifted with the wind and 100% its not going to be where find my drone tells you it is. To be honest find my drone is pretty much USELESS as the ac disconnects from the rc and its bye bye forever drone. Im not taking the chance again and i bought a small gps for the drone that you stick a sim in and it ALWAYS NO MATTER WHAT tells you exactly where it is.

If the aircraft disconnects from the remote, then the find my drone feature will tell you THE LAST CONNECTION POINT WITH THE REMOTE AND NOT WHERE THE DRONE ACTUALLY LANDED.

Try to Contact DJI on your Case.

It looks Very Genuine, as you pressed the RTH to go Home, the Drone obeyed you as you where in P-GPS but then after few seconds the Drone re entered ATTI and drifted away. This is NOT your Fault. When you pressed RTH you should pretend that the Drone Returns to Home, which it did not. You have a Good Chance here.

This case is not a Pilot Error, but an RTH Failure. It shows that you did try to bring it back when you where in P-GPS Twice, and Twice the RTH has Failed. In both RTH Cases the RTH was initiated and then the Drone lost GPS again and jumped out of RTH into ATTI alone. So RTH is not as Safe as it should be.

Best is to ALWAYS Fly in VLOS and when in doubt or in ATTI best is to land the Drone asap. When you are far away like when the second RTH initiated and you go to ATTI Mode the Drone can get drifting and you won't see where it will end. On the Second RTH it was about 2000ft away.

You had 48% battery when you lost contact. I'd say it drifted on the wind in the same general direction it had been moving for another 4-5 minutes, then when the battery became critically low it started to land.
