Hi,   I am seeking the widest compatable lens for the X5 + inspire 2 option, does anyone have advice on what to purchase?? Confirmed working rig would be great too, I am finding mixed reviews for some lens's.

We are looking at the Laowa 7.5mm lens, but no solid confirmation on how to mount/balance

the other option we found is the Olympus 9-18mm with balance ring... but this chart says it wont balance, is this true??

Sorry for the late response. Are you referring to X5S? Because X5 is not compatible with Inspire 2. But if you're referring to X5S, these are the supported lenses:
