Message landing gear during the flight.
IMU which switch.

I had a commercial shoot yesterday and had to downgrade firmware to previous. The new firmware is a disaster, terrible gimbal drift, unstable and big horizon tilt.

DJI? ...

I've had camera drifting with .200, too. Horizontal drifting back and forth. Every calibration possible was done after the firmgrade, as I always do.

Hello,
I did a test flight yesterday with the Inspire 2 and with the last update 0200.
I only had the landing gear error message once. I did not have the IMU change problem anymore.
For the drift of the camera, the X7 is well behaved.
I had also updated the App on 4.3.

For my other Inspire 2, I am offered the update 0200, I think I do but I hesitate.

Hi guys anyone know a way of going back to original first Firmware?

For reasons beyond my understanding you can't just install any FW version ever released for Inspire 2. Another words, some installations are irreversible. You can, however, try to downgrade from particular version a step or two. DJI Assistant software will let you know how far back you can go. In the case of problematic .0200 you may be able to restore FW back to .0100 version, perhaps even further down, I don't remember. Also, I don't know which version introduced wobbly hovering issue to some aircrafts out there, since I've got mine after this disaster and loaded with .0100. So far no major issue in terms of flight stability or overall performance.

Said that, I've heard about some hacking applications available on web, which may allow to do just what you want. This is, however, desperately risky approach IMHO.

Assistant software will display a list of all FW versions compatible with Inspire 2 recently. Once you connect your bird with computer it'll show what version she is on and what options are available. Keep in mind, however, that downgrading to .0100 may solve issues introduced with .0200, but not necessarily unstable hovering issue. Mine is hovering nicely with .0100, which doesn't mean your's will behave the same. Do you remember when did you noticed this nasty dance for the first time? You're not alone with this issue, but apparently not all Inspires have been harmed some time ago after particular FW update.

I doubt we ever will get any updates/information until a new firmware is released. Even when DJI staff works, we don't get any real and informative information. DJI don't know how to communicate with their customers.

This does seem extremely unprofessional. We purchased our Inspire 2 and X7 in May and our main reason fro choosing this platform was to be able to shoot in ProRes RAW. We thought we only had a couple of weeks to wait for ProRes RAW to be released but here we are nearly five months later and still no word from DJI other than some badly translated messages about engineers working on it being released over and over again!  This is a £12.000 professional film rig yet DJI don't even think it's customers deserve a decent update.

Sad but true. Their professional line gets the least support. It's all about marketing and selling hardware. When any new DJI hardware comes out, it is either buggy or missing announced features. When the hardware is at End Of Life - perhaps the features or bugs are fixed, but often not. Then a new version of the hardware comes out and the wheel turns again.

Well, the way the hobby flyer world of drones is being attacked in pretty much every country (eroding that market), DJI will learn the guys flying commercial gear are the only ones left - the faster they understand this the better for them and those flying the more commercial products.  But with that said, they need to improve their testing of firmware before it goes out the door.

I have seem posts here from people that were in the beta test groups, that are saying some of the issues coming up were never seen in the test groups software....  this makes me wonder about what they do to the firmware after the test group is done with it and before its rolled out.

Yes, I was in the beta, too. But now they have shut down a lot of it. So it sure won't get better.

If DJI had the ability to communicate with their customers, to be willing to take constructive criticism and start working with their customers, things would be better. Now they release half-finished products as fast as they can, with bad support on it after release.
