Hopefully, this one docked without incident, unlike the ship in your last post   Thanks for the share.

Seems a strange name for a ship!   Should be a place name.

Nice close up shots.  Hate to be in a rowboat in front of that thing.

Thank You. I really wasn't even that close. Its just a HUGE ship.   I hear ya there ALABAMA. I don't think any amount of fight or flight would save you in a rowboat. LOL

Seems a strange name for a ship!   Should be a place name.

The vessel was named in honor of Mr. Paul Richard Tregurtha; Vice Chairman of Interlake Steamship Co., and Chairman, C.E.O., and 50% owner of Mormac Marine Group, Inc. (owner of Interlake Steamship Co.

A lot of the ships on the Great Lakes have peoples names. Then there is the Coast Guard that names many of their vessels after flowers.

It seems that there is nothing wrong with the use of Cornish place names for ships, although maybe they should be Cornish ships: https://www.shipsnostalgia.com/s ... 97&postcount=14

The bridge didn't go up so he did a 360 turn. These larger ships have bow thrusters so they can turn pretty good,

Here's the web page. Excellent resource for knowing what ship, where and when. Where it's going, speed etc.
