Does anyone know how to connect the Spark to the Remote / Mini Ipad without WiFi and Airplane mode turned on?
It used to work for me by doing this:
1.  Disconnect RC cable from Ipad first
2.  Launch DJI 4 App
3.  Turn Remote on
4.  Plug RC cable into Ipad
5.  Turn Spark on
However, after updating the latest Firmware update the Remote never
goes from the Red light to green. No connection.

Any thoughts, work arounds?

Sorry to say that is the first time I have seen the update failure on iOS. And also sorry to say you need to send the controller into service. Once that connection between the controller and the Spark is broken by the most recent updates for the AC and the RC, nothing can fix it from a user standpoint. @dp55 is the uas still in wifi mode? via holding the power button for 3s until audible beep? also, thinking you still need the wifi turned on while the rest of the device is in airplane mode, despite utilizing an otg cable.  also might need to repair the rc to the uas via the record+fn+customizablebutton holding until its searching with audible, repeated beeps. not sure if you tried all that already
