Suoer photos, in your Wilmington Downtown photo, how did you manage to get detail in both the shadows and brighter parts? You've managed both and its a stunning photo.

Some 'slight' tweaks in Photoshop's Shadows/Highlights slider ;)
I have been so looking forward to shooting some
night cityscapes, but I was sadly reminded yesterday
at an FAA UAS seminar that I can't legally fly past 30
minutes after sunset. But after thinking about it,
that should still give me a short window to try some
single image stills or HDR's.

The night photo above was taken before it was completely dark and there was still some colour in the sky, which is generally preferable for night shots. I would think that thirty minutes after sunset would be okay for that.

After digging into it, it was taken exactly 20 minutes after sunset
Sunset the night of the downtown shot was at 5:04pm (it was last November). Metadata shows image was captured at 5:24pm.
BTW, I meant to compliment you on the photos but it appears I forgot to. Besides the brilliant colours, they're great compositions. My favourite is probably "marsh overhead" but they're all cool photos.
