Hello,
After mostly working in an ice-pick grip style for most of my training background, I'm getting back into MBC and gaining a new appreciation for its fundamentals and values. I'm signing on for a few months of weekly sessions training the system around the basic Delica platform, but having trained alongside a few MBC instructors I know firsthand that the Ronin and Yojimbo are unmatched at cutting. Thinking long-term as my finances get better, is the Ronin 2 best suited for the MBC Filipino grip? My original style is primarily reverse grip edge-in with a little edge-out for thrust based movements, and I've been carrying a Clinch Pick which is of course hammer grip-edge in for clinch work. Is the Ronin comfortably functional in these other grips, or am I signing on for a dedicated saber-grip cutter?
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
