Where is the Tracktenna? Is it canceld

Not that I know if this idea is abandoned or not, but let me speculate for a while ... Assumed high efficiency of Tracktenna for long distance transmission may be not the issue here. However, the efficiency of available power storage (battery capacity to weight ratio, another words) is the bottleneck of entire concept. With bulky TB55 batteries on Inspire 2 or Matrice 200 this ratio is already stretched as far as modern technology allows. Cendence RC with patch antenna can provide approx. 6 km range in good conditions before the system will demand RTH due to the power left for such. Therefore, even if transmission is still good thanks to Tracktenna much improved efficiency, the bird will perform RTH due to fuel shortage.

It's just my 2 cents on the issue. That said, Tracktenna may greatly improve the transmission in radio polluted environments, where 4 km range is difficult to maintain. Again, I don't know if this is a dead cow or not.
