Have you tried to reset Kodi on your FireStick. Once done, the problem may disappear in the thin air. After reseting, the FireStick started working fine again.

My firestick updated and since then the remote is not working, I've tried almost everything to pair it again and tried to do pair it using the firestick app on my phone but it's still not discoverable, also changed to new batteries and nothing is happening. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you attempted a Kodi FireStick reset? Once resolved, the issue can simply vanish. Visit pikashow4k.com/pikashow-for-ios if you don't know how to do it correctly and quickly. I experience the same problem. fresh firestick purchased from the store. Resetting made the FireStick resume functioning normally.
