Hello,

I have a P3S and in January this year after a NORMAL flight the rc was no longer syncing to the aircraft. I tried to link it no success. I tried to upgrade the software at leat 100 times and at the begining it was dying in the mid 10-15 minutes not i fails after 10-15 seconds of beeing D-D-D-D ... the D---------. What can i do? This aircraft is out of warranty and i did not crash it. I found online that many people are complaining abuout this isuue and it looks like it ia hardware failure. I under stand one of my option sis to send it to a repair center but then do I have toi pay if this is not my fault and it is a common problem?

Hi Vlad, we're really sorry about it. Just to verify, could you read the current aircraft firmware? If it has been updated to the latest version, you may try to format the SD card to see whether it helps. If still no luck, I', afraid that you may consider sending the unit in for diagnosis. As the unit is out of warranty period, we're sorry that it might be paid service, please kindly note and understand.

Hello,

Thank you for your prompt answer.  At this moment i cannot communicate with the aircraft at all. I power it on and the yellow lights flash fast (out of sync with the remote control).  I can connect to the remote control from my tablet but the "link RC" does not work (I press the button to link on the aircraft, it starts to blink but does not connect to the remote control). The remote control beeps trying to connect i see a countdown on my tablet that times out after about 1 minute. The link between the RC and the aircraft fails.

I have used multiple SD cards where I have uploaded the firmware P3C_FW_V01.09.0200.bin. I inserted the SD card in the aircraft camera and started the aircraft. The LED on the aircraft gimbal blinks red-green-red then it blinks green (the upgrade process starts) but it failed in about 10-15 seconds, the led on gimbal turns red and there is a continuous beep.  Reading the log file from the SD card shows the following:

Did you upgrade the firm ware via Go app?  Did you charge all batteries of RC AC and mobile?
You can make a firm ware refresh via SD card. Power on the RC and then the AC with out the SD card with the contained P3C_FW_V01.09.0200.bin file on card. Wait a tick. The AC beeps a SOS and you insert this SD card. Let it stay for upgrading. You may use a small fan or a laptop cooler for cooling the AC system.

Thank you Peterx,

I will try this. When this first happened i was flying in Florida no problem, landed then the image was no longer showing on my DJIGo app showing "week signal" although the AC and RC were 1 meter apart. The controls were still working. The green light was still on the RC (synced). Then i tried turning it on/off and then i said to myself let me relink the RC ... this failed, the rc led turned RED and ever since i wan not able to relink the RC. Then i tried the upgrade method writing the bin file to sd card (tried different sd cards) and powering the AC with the sd card inside. First 10-20 attempts the update was going in 10-15 minutes before it failed each time. Now it's failing after 10-15 seconds. I will try your suggestion to inser the SD card after i power on the AC. When i power on the AC it does the gimbal test (rotates gimbal) then 2 lights are green flashing and 2 lights are yellow (flashing fast). The battery right now are 50% (automatically discharged) I will try to fully charge them before trying your method.

What i suppose it happened it's that the first attempts to upgrade failed, it damaged a boot secotr or something and now the AC has a damaged firmware and does not accept the upgrade. if you look on the logs i posted above i see at one moment that the version of the AC is

I suppose this is a flaw and the AC is bricked somehow and dont know how to restore it

The fan that you mentioned should cool what part of the AC ?underneath it?

There is an official service center in the US, so we suggest to send the unit there for service, you may write an email to support.us@dji.com to start a case.
