(The app version in the playstore (v1.0.10) is old. The app states it does not need to be updated.
However on this site there is a newer version (v1.1.0))


today i receive my first phantom 3 and update with last firmware v1.1.9, install on my Multipad 4 ULTRA QUAD 8.0 3G(PMP7280C3G_WH_QUAD + Android 4.1.2) programm DJI Pilot from Android PlayStore (v1.0.10) and receive on screen black image. all function on phantom work, but on screen no image from camera.
after installed from DJI site last DJI Pilot version (v1.1.0) problem resolved.

yeah this a know problem....the play store version is out of date and dont know if it will be updated!!   you have to take the version from this site!!!  have lived the same problem this last week-end...
