hi I've been offered a brand new battery from an eBay seller who claims to be an authorised dji dealer, his I'd is seasky02 and the item number is 232794956039 could you please confirm this is a genuine authorised dealer as I have no desire to buy fake batteries.

The way to actually get checked is to pass the SERIAL number to a moderator and they will check against DJI production. Retailer list is out of date as most sites are.

What's to keep the pirate from copying a valid serial number onto a fake battery?

Same goes for CE and UL labels ... quite agree .... but see post above this.

Vendor lists are never up to date - so just as much a gamble.
