Hi, I just got my phantom 3 4K and is there any way to use like a phantom 3 Pro controller with the 4K edition drone? I’d like a longer range and to use the light bridge or whatever. Sorry if this is confusing but it’s my 1st big drone.

Short answer.  No.  The P3 4K is a WiFi drone.  You can’t change from WiFi to light bridge.

The P34K remote controller is the only remote controller that is compatible with the P34K.

Okay, thank y’all. Would anyone know the best range extender for it then? I’ve seen several different ones but I don’t know what’s best.

The ITELITE gets rave reviews.  

The P3P controller uses lightbridge and the 4k model (non pro) uses wifi. So no you cant use the lightbridge controller with a wifi drone.

Okay one more question. Could I somehow convert my P34K into a P3P?

Nope......

Unfortunately the Phantom 3 pro RC is not compatible with the Phantom 3 4k. If you have other concern, please let us know.

Thank you for reaching DJI forum. If the connection distance between the RC and AC is short, please try to adjust the antennas. Please make sure the remote controller’s antennas are positioned parallel to and are pointed towards the aircraft. Sometimes the flight environment is also a big factor, fly in a wide place with less interference.

Unfortunately, you can't convert it. We also don't recommend self repair/modification because it can void your warranty. Thanks for your understanding.
