Thats a lot of pollution!

This is smoke from our friends in Canada. Add to that the fires in Wa. state and calif and it's gotten pretty bad here.
My eye's feel like I have sand in them.  It will be worse 2da.  
No end in sight.

What are the Canadians doing to produce this much smoke?

I've herd on news that there are aver 100 wildfires up north.  We have high pressure and we get smoke from Calif, Oregon, AZ and Canada.

I grew up in SoCal and this only happened for 1 one or two days at a time.  We've had this for a week and it will prob last for another week.

Air quality is zero...…..Hazardous to human health.    It sucks...
It's a new climate.  

Worse things happen at sea.....?

If you think it’s bad now, wait until Oct. 17, when it gets real smoky up here in hinterland.

By the way, that’s BC forest fires burning out of control. Same with California. The whole west coast is burning... thank the Lord I live here in Alberta, but the smoke is hazy here today too...

They have it worse, with that smelly volcanic sulfur clouds...

Wear a handkerchief or bandana, go gangster on this smoke...

It's 100% from the wildfires in Northern California and Southern Oregon. There are over 100,000 acres on fire, it's terrible. Was just out in Selma, Oregon a few weeks ago and the smoke was out of control.
As you can see from the footage below... The smoke is getting out of hand in areas where there aren't even any fires:

Looks like we're gonna have to build a wall up there too. We have enough smoke without Canadian illegal smoke immigrating. And Canada will pay for it too.

Except that all our air flow is from north.   If we get air flow from north in summer it makes the Sound hot and...in this case Smokey.

Satellite shows this stuff coming from north of boarder.  And we get Smoke from south but it has to travel up the Rockies before it gets mixed in with Canadian smoke.
No matter where it comes from it's really bad...Not the Washington I'm used to.   
Worse thing is.....Just not good to fly in...or take pictures... Just bad light

There are 560 wild fires burning in BC. People are being evacuated...


You might like to see the satellite pics that show the severity, and depth of this air quality situation.

You can see where a majority of the bigger fires are situated.

The smoke envelopes the prairies, where the smoke had traveled over the Rocky Mountains.

Way things are looking not sure when you can expect a wind change but keep posting those photos as they are interesting.
