I was flying my MA few days ago in my usual place. I was about 900 meters away, and my MA start to lose signal and went in auto RTH function. Home point was set and compass was calibrated few flights ago. After my bird come home, i check flight records and realize, that it went wrong direction about 10 seconds, then stoped on 10 seconds, and only then turn to right way and go home. Is that normal? Or it is attempt to flyaway???
I have noticed, that it is not first time, when drone turn in wrong direction after RTH activation. Usualy everything is normal, but there is times, when hi turn incomlete, make few meters, stop, turn right direction and then coming home.
What should i do??? I am scare, that hi can make flyaway...
At my initial flights I got a little scared too thinking it had some bad compass or interference, but its a normal behaviour. When it loses signal, it tries to redo the same path backwards trying to regain signal. If its not sucessfull, then it iniciates RTH. Its on the manual. Dont worry.
Hmmm... I'm actually not sure I see that in your flight log. At 12m 11.8s I see the where the RTH kicks in, but it looks like the home distance never increases after that. About 3 seconds later you can see it start picking up speed and heading back home as would be expected.
Can you point to the time in the log file where you're seeing it go the wrong way for 10 seconds?
Yes it is correct, if your aircraft looses signal it will take its most recent route it has flown , if it regains signal it will stop and hover for 10 seconds, if controller takes no action aircraft will then resume RTH , so aircraft acted exactly as it should no worries.
