I would like to present you "St Leonard's church"  the only remaining building left from the village of Mušov, standing on a small island in the middle of the reservoir.
Mušov was the lowest-lying village in the district. The village was destroyed despite the opposition of its inhabitants in the late 1970s, due to the decision of the then socialist authorities to build the Nové Mlýny reservoirs by flooding a unique ecosystem of the riparian forest in the area around the river Thaya.
Thanks to the efforts of conservationists, it was decided to preserve the medieval St Leonard's church, now standing on a small island in the middle of the Věstonice Reservoir. An archaeological survey has found that the church is much older than previously thought.

The small island is accessible just by boat or during hard winter when the reservoir is covered by ice.

This is my first of two entries that I would like to share. I call this "In the shadow of Destruction", and was taken at lava canyon in Washington State. The mountain in this photo is Mt. St. Helens, which in the 1980's had an eruption event, showing the true might of the mountain even as it collapsed. Nowadays, its not uncommon to travel near the mountain without seeing the scars created by this event, grey ash as plentiful as sand on the seashore, trees petrified, even an entire lake disappeared because of the eruption! However, you can also find new found life, countless trees, plants and wildlife that works to return the surronding areas back to a time before the eruption. Even while under the shadow of this mountain, I was able to find a somewhat strange beauty in the cycle of destruction and rebirth, in addition to the amazing sunset caused by wildfire smoke up river. Hope you enjoy!

No expert here.. I like what you have done but the colours seem 'off' for some reason unless you were doing it on purpose with some sort of plug in..

From the ground I bet most people would never realise that the church is the shape of a cross, amazing.

I'm very excited for participating! One thing I love is waterfalls, so here is a simple shot from ground taken with a Pixel 2, with no editing at all. One thing I really like about this photo, is the sky color, which looked exactly like that in real life.

And now, the aerial photo. I had a bit of luck to capture a little rainbow that only showed itself for about 2 minutes. Same as before, it has no editing, I like natural pictures. This was taken with the Spark.

I would like to present you "GLENCOE". It's one of my favorite places, which looks every time of the year different, but wonderful.
These two shots were taken in January after a freezing night I spent in my car just to have the opportunity to see one of the epic sunrises in Glencoe. If you take this road, you are amazed by the landscape around you. And from the sky it looked like from Star Wars

another one...or two. I think " see the bigger picture" fits for this shots very well.
There´s two pics from the Schlegeisspeicher in the austrian alps. Located at 1,782 m altitude, it covers an area of ​​about 2 km ². The dam is 131 m high.

One scene and two perspectives can change ours emotion
ground and aerial shots of the same scene give different feelings and can tell the same story from another point of view... I think this chance give a great perspective so magic for us ...

in this topic there are already many beautifoul comparison ...

this comparison of mine, concerns the images taken from a video made in a magical place ... Abbey of San Galgano in Italy ... this abbey has a fantastic story ... very similar with the famous and legendary King Arthur ...

in fact, he who built this abbey, I stick a sword in the rock ...

during my motorcycle trip, in Italy ... I stopped in this particular place ...

Fortunately, I was carrying my spark with me ... and so I taken a few clips trying to reproduce that atmosphere ...

I have to admit, a very difficult undertaking for me ...
because the place is very special and it gave me many sensations, very charged ...

anyway ... the particularity of this abbey ... is that it has no roof ... and has a cross shape

as a consequence, the images from above are completely particular

“O MARIA"


I present “O MARIA" from just outside Forlì, Romagna, ITALY .

This are one of  the first Italian plantation of legal Hemp _(cannabis light) in Italy... of course close to the wine plantation of sangiovese grape .  Enjoy!
*both photos was super stoned difficult to capture with my inspire 2 … wine and hemp perfect combination !!

My take on this one would be... "The eye". Pretty appropriate for this event, right? (see what I did there? ;) )

Only from above can you truly appreciate the symmetrical beauty of this garden. How lucky I just happen to have a drone!
