Nope. One about why the new app update asks for permission to make calls from the phone. Had a few responses from gamora and a couple of other members and now when I click it in my history I get a message saying it's been deleted

I do seem to remember reading it earlier, I'd noticed you'd asked the question in that other thread. That's why it stands out in my mind. It's very unusual for DJI to delete any posts or threads, perhaps they'd deemed it to be a duplicate. I've not been aware of them deleting any posts or threads apart from one or two rare occasions where posts had become extremely abusive.

No abuse and not repetitive. That thread is about the new update but not the odd request for permission. She was very helpful at the start or at least have the impression she was trying to be. Some questionable and pointless stock responses but that's as expected here. I now get this message when I click that thread

No (New app permission request) was the name on that tread.
It was about apps permission to use phone, which people have not seen but has been there for
almost two years. Not sure if SMS is used to unlock NFZ or what purpose it is used for.

So is it something that has been there all the time but now is specifically a permission to be granted? Djigamora said it shouldn't be there, but guess this was wrong?

If you look under permission for Dji apps it has been there for long time.
Same goes for Litchi. It also has this permission.

It's quite possible with the new EU enforcement of privacy laws that this has now become transparent. Certainly just after the trigger date we were inundated with pop ups asking permissions for a multitude of things.

So if it was a device with no SIM, it's actually a redundant request anyway?

New privacy laws are in a way being Thwarted.   Either you agree to give requester (Manufacture and it's Partners) access or It No Worky.  For sake of privacy, I hope these new laws are only start of ending snooping by likes of ___________.

I think I remember that tread and to be honest you were being a bit snarky with some of your messages to the admin. Maybe they thought you were being abusive and deleted it. All of the admins aren't online at the same time so give it a day or two for them to reply.

"I hope these new laws are only start of ending snooping by likes of ___________."

You are correct in that it's a multitude of sources, DJI would be the least of many concerns

Just remember these new laws are only applicable in relation to EU.

All others now need to catch up....

My thread was deleted too and she has also ignored my PM I sent to her. I am really not happy, at least a comment would have been nice. My post was about the Mavic Pro yaw drift.
