Hi,

I recently purchased an male USB micro - male USB C cable and connected my phone (Sony XZ2 Compact) with my controller using that cable. It seems all the cable does is charge the controller from the phone. How do I get it to transmitt data between the controller and the phone?

Thanks!

Then I'm sad to say that you bought the wrong cable. OTG cables are "one-way". You need one where the micro USB end is the host end. Then it will work. And the controller will slowly charge the phone.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out and sorry for some inconvenience. Regarding with that may I ask have you try to use a different mobile device just to isolate the issue?

Thanks for your replies. I did test with another device (Sony XZ Compact) and got the same result...seems like Putzfrau is right...

I tried to find an OTG cable with two male USB C and USB Micro ends but couldn't find it, do they exist or do I need to buy a male micro USB - female USB A and a male USB A - USB C?

Thanks,

They do exist. I got one. I got mine from AliExpress some time ago, before the Swedish post added those ridicolous fees on shipments from China.

You could also get them from Amazon. I believe this:
https://www.amazon.com/Type-C-USB-Cable-Mavic-Spark/dp/B0747TP58W
is the exact one I have.

Hi,
I noted a problem with OTG cable between RC and mobile. When the RC is not fully charged, the connection between RC and the mobile is not stable. The connection is switch-on and switch-off in short sequences or connection is not possible to create. I tested more OTG cables but the result was the same. What is your experience with OTG connection? I wanted to prefer this one but I am afraid now.

It sounds like that either USB debugging is off and or rights givven to Go4 app is not comlete (unistall, clean phone, install again) And or the type of connection should be file sharing.
