Wrap the threaded portion of the motor with the white pipe tape, you can easily thread the props on and the tape will provide enough friction to prevent the props from spinning off and it is not as messy as liquid glue,

I have been flying for approximately five months.
I was flying my Phantom 2 today for about 45 minutes.  I was on the descent and my spotter was going to catch land the Phantom when all of a sudden all four propellers flew off and my spotter caught the Phantom before it hit the ground.  I had 30% battery life when this happened.  There was no warning and all info on the monitor indicated all was fine.   

Congratulations, I bet you cant do that again...

Don not use thread lock on your Phantom, it damages the plastic apparently.

Anaerobic adhesive and thermoplastics in the vicinity where it is used don't go well together, that incompatibility is usually mentioned in the instructions.

Any idea what kind of thread lock DJI uses? All the screws I have removed have had some blue material on their ends. I have not added any myself because I read an earlier warning about thread lock.

Thanks, but we're discussing about how to improve the fixing between the motors and props, both of them aren't plastic based material as known.

May I ask which mode(ATTI or GPS) you've switched in while descending the bird?
Full throttle or not?

well the threaded insert is not but the insert is installed into the thermoplastic prop which I would call vicinity ;)

They do use an anaerobic paste type thread locker on their screws which is pre-applied to the screw thread. The paste form and small qty. of the thread locker prevents the adhesive from coming into contact to the polymer materials that are close to the metal fastening features it is supposed to "lock" in place.

You are right of course, as are DJI who tell us not to use thread lock in their FAQs.

WOW...I got to go to Snopes to check out this story because AGAIN I do not believe it is possible for all 4 props to come off at the same time.  1 prop maybe, 2 props unlikely, 3 props noway, 4 props, see #3.

I went fishing yesterday at Loch Ness and I hooked something huge!  I battled that beast for hours on my 2 pound test line.  Just as I was about to land the great beast, it got away.  Any suggestions for the next time I hook her?

Loch Ness aside, no locktite or pipe tape required.  Just use the dam wrench they gave you with your props.  tighten very tight and it is guaranteed not to throw props.  problem solved.  don't overthink it.
