Hey so wondering why the spotlight mode dosn't seem to work when the aircraft is high in altitude.  When drawing a square around an object, it comes up with an erroe something like, aircraft too high or something.  Any idea whats going on with that?

     Intelligent Flight Modes that use video tracking use video vision (like robot and self driving car vision).  The resolution for video vision has to be low enough that different shapes can be easily identified and at the same time high enough resolution to make a match during the changes in orientation between the Phantom and the object and at varying distances.  This sweet spot limits the distance the object can be from the video camera tracking the object.  Too far away and background interferes with identifying the object being tracked.

     Each video vision system has an efficiency level determined by resolution, close is easy, far is hard because of the need for much higher resolution.  Algorithms that track high resolutions are more demanding than algorithms that function with lower resolutions.  Our drones only have so much digital resources available for these Intelligent Flight Modes involving video tracking.  What you are concerned about is outside the capability of the algorithm chosen for the Intelligent Flight Modes we are using.
