Does the new Mavic 2 use the same battery connection as the Mavic Pro? Asking because I wonder if the old charging accessoris for the Pro will work for the 2, or if all new charges need to be bought.

Mavic pro 2 is a 4s battery Mavic pro 3s so answer is no.

Hi PHL, the Mavic Pro charger can't be compatible with the Mavic 2 series.
As for the compatibility accessories, they include the Mavic monitor hood, tablet holder, and the Mavic remote controller cable. Other accessories are not compatible.

Well, TBH it was the form factor that sold me on the Mavic in the first place, as the Phantom was too hard to travel with. So at least they are keeping that, but it's great that the imaging system has been upgraded. But having to buy everything again is a PITA.
