Hey guys n gals.
Ive been trying to downgrade the firmware on my galaxy s2 from andriod 7 to version 6 but to no avail.
Heres the story so far i bought the tablet when it was actually still on the compatability list and it was working great with dji go 4, but i stupidly upgraded the tablet to version 7 2 weeks after purchase now it hasnt worked for months been trying every piece of advice ive read so far in here and other forums.
I didnt want to root the tablet down to version 6 but that seemed to be my only chance to get it going.
So to cut a long story short ive spent the last 2 days trying to downgrade to version 6.
Im using odin3 to flash the device and got the download files from udato.
My first attempt seemed to work but i was confronted with ...to start your tablet enter your password .... im like wtf i never had a password.
So im thinking ive just bricked my $400 tablet. Well after alot of mucking around i got version 7 back on it and its back up and working again but still cant use to fly with.

So heres my question has anybody been successful in downgrading a galaxy s2 to version 6.0.1 ?
If so how did you do it can you provide links and instructions on how you did it?

     On the other hand, Android's Nougat is now at 7.1.2.  My nVidia Shield K1 is working like a champ now with 7.1.2.  I know it is not the same but if push comes to shove, maybe going the other direction might help.

Nope just checked device says i have the latest version so cant upgrade.

     Bummer!  I tried doing that with my Samsung on a much older version and got nowhere.  Now I just use it as a tablet and back-up for my P3 Pro.

     Have you tried going direct to Samsung about upgrading or downgrading?  I had a live person look into it.  They tried at least.  Your tablet may only be looking at the first number of the version.  A live person will get past that.  I got past that but still got nowhere in the end.  They want me to buy a new tablet I think.

Trying to avoid buying another tablet only to have it no longer work as well.
I much prefer android over ios devices but might have to bite the bullet and see if i can swap it for an ipad.

Bought it earlier this year it was purchased to fly my p4p

     Mahalo for the update on the device.  Big difference!  There should be a way to restore default for your Galaxy Tab S2 8".  Have you tried to Google it?  There are a ton of Android tricks available on Google.  But, I really think you need the Samsung default since it was written for the Tab S8.

I would much prefer an android system just didnt want to spend another $500 on yet another tablet ive gone through 2 already since i bought my p4p,  cant afford to keep wasting money like this i just want to find something that works once i get a good set up then im planning on locking the whole system out of the internet so none of it can ever update again.
