During the product announcement they said in the coming months they would be setting up gimbal/camera upgrade and swap through customer service.  Did I hear that right?  Is this going to eventually a swappable camera device?

Will it eventually be able to swapped in the field on the fly or is the M2 going to have to be sent in?  A solution like the Inspire series would be most useful  Having to send in for a swap is not really useful.

From what I've been seeing on their Facebook posts, it's going to be a "send it in" only option. So it will not be an interchangeable camera on the fly... It'll be more like "oh I got the Pro and realized I need the zoom more but I don't want to buy a whole other drone.. Okay I can send it in and pay $xxx and DJI will change my camera to the Zoom and send it back to me" type of thing.

I suspect most of the image processing board is inside the drone so im guessing as well as the camera itself, that needs to be swapped.

Sorry, the M2 needs to send in to swap the cameras. We'll release on our website as soon as it is ready.

Hello, but if I buy Mavic 2 pro and I would to swap it to Zoom so what hapens with my Pro camera?? As it is more expensive and I pay for it so you send back Mavic  2 with swaped ZOOM camera and also my PRO camera or you keep it?

The Pro camera will be returned together with the Mavic 2 with the swapped Zoom camera, we'll not keep it.

Will there be an new controller with a built in screen for the mavic 2

It would be nice if there are some authorized service centres that can do that swap; that way, although yo don't have the convenience of filed swap, at least if you need a different camera for your project, you can get it done in a day or so.

If you want a camera that you can swap out on the fly with amazing pictures and video then spend the extra $$$ and get the Inspire and call it a Day.

Already have one!  Its not a very portable solution.  If they are going to offer a gimbal swap why not make it able to be done on fly?!
