I misunderstood then. I stayed out of the National Parks, I stayed away from large airports, and MOSTLY didn't fly around crowds (tried to keep the drone over buildings and roads). I did see now that there is a rule AGAINST aircraft in City Parks. It's from 1980 and doesn't say anything about "drones" and that's why I couldn't find it when I did my preflight research. I found some nice articles from Drone Girl who lives in the area and says she flys in SF City Parks so I thought it was ok to fly. But others are now telling me that they received $120 tickets for flying in a SF City Park. Sooooo, I don't know. Seems like SF needs to update their City Park rules and actually say "DRONES" when writing the laws for their city. Thanks for your input and views. |
